There are many ways to make a difference in the life of a Union County foster child. The obvious, of course, is advocating on their behalf both in court and in their community. But there are other options!
Perhaps your schedule right now doesn't allow for commitment from an advocacy standpoint. That's okay; that might be down the road. Or, maybe you'd just like to impact in a different way. That's great, too, and we've got you covered! Let us count the ways:
Event Volunteer: CASA has various events throughout the year and always welcomes extra hands to set up, break down and everything in between.
Special-Event Prep: Feeling in the mood to stuff invitation envelopes, dress tables, inflate balloons, create displays, collect donations and any of the other little details that go into a successful gathering?
Host a Fundraiser:
Are you a social butterfly? A host with the most? Invite your friends, colleagues and loved ones to your home for a wine and cheese reception or dessert night, and CASA staff and and advocate volunteer can speak about our work. With a suggested guest donation at the door, funds raised impact the depth and breadth of CASA's ability to reach more children, and this type of special evening helps spread the work within the community.
Help Us Get a Date:
CASA staffers love to speak with local organizations, businesses and houses of worship about the various ways to get involved and impact foster children in our own community. Help arrange a date with your beloved group and we'll be there with bells on!
Connected To A Retailer?
Set up a shopping or dining event with a portion of the proceeds benefiting CASA of Union County, and more folks learning about CASA's work.
Donate Directly: Help fund additional outreach, trainings and workshops. This results in more volunteers, which means reaching more Union County youth. That's basic math we love.
